In 2023, she was the winner of the TATE Christmas Card Competition, the Muse Gallery Residency Award and a finalist for the First Plinth: Public Art Award. One of her latest projects was a public commission for a light installation by Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Her work is focused on the exploration of the meeting points between urban construction and the natural environment.

  • My practice engages with geometry as a fundamental language that both systemises the urban environment and provides a means of comprehending nature. I examine the structure, system and materiality of the geometric form in its natural or artificial state, as something that strives to outlive the mortal nature of the human. My research is a constant exploration of the meeting points between urban construction and the natural environment. As a response to the densely manufactured urban space, I am inspired by the delicacy found in the system of natural structures, including chemical elements and crystals.

My objects are handmade to precision striving to get as close as possible to a manufactured result, as I critically think about the mechanical accuracy in contrast to the imperfection of the human touch. For me, the visualisation of the theoretical research is of equal importance with the practical aspect of my art. My process involves continuous tests, trials and errors through the creation of large-scale drawings, which I consider as part of the final work.
