A complex repetitive process of mark making and erasure––revealing and concealing––informs ten Doornkaat’s

drawing practice. She often responds directly to the continual thread of fleeting moments in the online/social media

experience hence the dimensions of the SML series which are a direct reference to pixelated online images.
